The majority of my business life has been spent in the banking industry, with the majority of that time in the money markets area. As a conduit between the corporate customer and the bank’s price makers, I was responsible for both advice and producing reports backing up that advice. As a sign of professionalism, it was imperative that all reports and proposals to clients have correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. The value of any written document is diminished with examples of poor grammar and spelling. My strengths are in recognising good grammar and punctuation, and correct spelling.
In my latter years, I have owned and run my own business, again having to provide customers with proposals that made good sense and in particular, well written. With my substantial commercial background, I now have the time to concentrate on ensuring my client’s reports, proposals and documents have no grammar, punctuation or spelling errors.
